#85 Take Multivitamin every day for 2 weeks

I hit the two weeks today and am going to keep going.  It's gotten easier to remember to take them.

#12 Start a Mommy and Me Journal with Kyrie

So I decorated this journal for Kyrie and me to write to each other back and forth.  She loved it so much when she saw it after coming home from school.  I'm hoping this will keep us talking about things through her teen years.

Being Thankful

"Throughout history wise men and women have encouraged us to feel grateful for what we have.
Why? Very simply because gratitude makes us feel good. When you're feeling grateful, your mind is clear, and therefore you have access to your greatest wisdom and common sense. You see the big picture."
- Richard Carlson, Ph.D., (1995)

Today I realized I am not nearly as thankful as I should be and I want to change that.   I want to show the girls how thankful  I am for everything daily so they will live the same way.   I am so thankful not just for the BIG things but the small things and I need to spend more time being thankful for them.  I need to get into the habit of writing in my gratitude journal.  I am blessed with two amazing little girls who both have amazing Best Friends.  And in the way of best friends the girls really picked some great ones.  I don't think I could have picked better friends for them.  Forming forever friendships is one of the best things, I think I was Kyrie's age when my best friend stopped being just a friend and became my SISTER!!!!  I know the girls were not given the same luxury as I had of having a best friend from like day one, and even though we don't see each other as much as either one of us would like, have gone big periods of time without talking it doesn't affect us.  I also had to explain to Kyrie we can have more then one best friend.
I have an AMAZING Church, whom without my Church family I would have packed up and left Maine a LONG time ago.  Our Church makes me feel so welcome and blessed and I have spent more time with my Faith since finding it.  And I believe that it has brought Seth and I closer together.
I am always thankful for Seth, even when he drives me bonkers.  He gets me and it takes a lot to get me.  He has patience even when I don't.  Not just dealing with all things but dealing with me.  These past three years have been some of the hardest in my life.  Leaving my home, my family, my friends and moving more then a two days drive away from it all.  I've made new friends, and I have Seth's family but the South will ALWAYS have my heart, it will always be my HOME!  Maine hasn't changed that and I don't think it ever will.  I am PROUD to be a Southern Girl, proud our daughters were born Southern girls!  With in the span of a little more than a year I lost not one but two AMAZING women in my life and I shattered.  Not many people knew how much I was rocked by it all because I kept it to myself.  I can no longer be the person everyone wants me to be, I have to be ME!  Now if you don't like it so be that way but I am who I am like it or Leave.  What will I be teaching the girls if I can't be ME!
I am finally to a place where I want to be HAPPY again.  My life is not what I wanted, I am far from HOME, but I need to be Happy or I will never be able to rebuild myself.  And a big start to that is being thankful for all those little things I don't think about as much.
I just need to remember

"This is my temporary home
It's not where I belong.
Windows and rooms that I'm passin' through.
This is just a stop, on the way to where I'm going.
I'm not afraid because I know this is my
Temporary Home."

#73 Organize my photos (Kyrie, Zee, Mine, Seth, Girls, Family, Events)

So I decided to rearrange my Scrap area with the hope of it making me more "Crafty" and in doing so I decided to clean and organize all my stuff.  So while I was sorting and organizing all of the other stuff I figured I might as well do the photos too.  So now they are all in order sorted by age, event and person for my books.  This way I just have to pull out a stack of pictures when I start working on books.

    #94 and #95 DONE

    94. Organize Kyrie's Memento box
    95. Organize Zee's Memento box

So today while had her BFF over I pulled out the girls Memento boxes and organized them.  It did show me I need to search Pinterest for something to do with all the cards they have accumulated and I need to get to work on some layouts.  Plus since I was already organizing, and I needed another box for Kyrie's stuff (so now she has two boxes) I went ahead and did all of them.  Plus I put the photos in the new photo box I got for volunteering at school.  Now I just have to organize the photos and see how far behind I am on scrapping.  And this doesn't even all of last year's photos I still have to print those out.

101 in 1001 My Bucket List

101 in 1001 My Bucket List

I got this idea from the blog Pretend Like It's the Weekend so if you are interested you can go check her blog out.

    The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
    The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
    Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.
    The Start Date:
    January 14, 2013 (age 29)
    The End Date:
    October 10, 2015 (age 32)

Big Things, Big Changes, Big 8

So many things have happened within the last few days and we are blessed that things are were we want them to be.  We started today off by Zee and I singing her Happy Birthday and telling her "Eight is Great".  Then the girls got ready for school, my Mom called and wished Kyrie a Happy Birthday, she read her messages on my Facebook, had her banana bread and I did her hair.  I will be bringing a cake up to her school later today.  And we are giving Birthday Pancakes a shot for dinner.  I'll blog with pictures of it all later.

    A LONG day

We had Kyrie's evaluation this morning so we had to be at school for our meeting at 7:50.  Then it was go go go since.  Seth did a photo shoot this afternoon, I worked for two hours and Kyrie had hip hop tonight.  I got my first taste of Scary Icy Roads tonight thankfully I didn't hit anything.  On the way to dance class I hit an ice spot and the car wouldn't stop but I swerved into some snow and missed the car in front of me.  Kyrie just asked when we were faced the wrong way, apparently she missed the whole Scary deal.   I did figure out some information on Kyrie's reading level and I am going to get her set up with a Genre challenge of her own.  I see a library trip in our future.  We have to drive out to Rockland in the morning since that is where the UPS office is so I am off to watch some Harry Potter with Kyrie.  We are up to the 4th movie.  We are also going to switch off and read the books, she is beyond excited.

2013 Genre Variety Reading Challege DONE 30 READ

    2013 Genre Variety Reading Challege

I am doing the Genre Variety Reading Challenge over at A Daydreamer's Thoughts.  I linked her blog post about the challenge if you want to join in.  Here is the information about the challenge

The challenge is to read books from different genres throughout the year. I have found that blogging has opened my eyes to so many genres that I would never have tried before, simply from recommendations, and the idea of this challenge is to keep that going. The challenge is to read a large variety of genres within one year.
    Other Important Info;
    • Runs from January 1st 2013 until December 31st 2013. Sign ups will be open until December 1st 2013.
    • There are five levels to challenge yourself too. You may move up a level but not go down a level. These are all outlined below. Please mention in your sign up post which level you will aim for.
    • The genres you choose to read are up to you. As long as every book is different, whichever genre you wish to read you can.
    • Every month there will be a post on this blog to link up to your update post / review(s)
    • There will be a giveaway at the end of the challenge, and maybe a few within the year but these are TBD.
    • To sign up, you will need to write a post saying which level you are challenging yourself too and then use the linky list. Non-Bloggers may post in the comments of this post.
    • Any book formats are accepted.
    • Novellas and Novels are all accepted for this challenge.
    • YA, NA and Adult books all count towards this challenge.
    • New sub-genres are accepted. (for example, paranormal-romance, or historical-romance)
    Levels;
    • Careful; 6 different genres, 6 books
    • Cautious; 12 different genres, 12 books
    • Branching; 18 different genres, 18 books
    • Avid Reader; 24 different genres, 24 books
    • Champion; 30 different genres, 30 books
